Welcome to the table
Our story
EATT began with a conversation between my mother, Kimberly Moore, and I after I learned about a former student facing severe food insecurity at home.
During my time as a middle school educator, it was brought to my attention that a student had been taking food from the trash can, placing it in his backpack, and saving it to eat later. He had been doing this quietly for some time.
That moment stayed with me.
As a mother, educator, and community member, I could not stop thinking about what it means for a child to be that hungry and still try to survive silently. When I shared the story with my mother, that conversation turned into something bigger. It became the beginning of Everyone At The Table.
EATT was created to help families access food and basic essentials in a way that feels calm, respectful, and free of shame. We are not here to judge anyone’s situation. We are here to show up, offer support, and remind families that they are not alone.
Because everyone deserves food. Everyone deserves dignity. And everyone deserves a seat at the table.
